Riva Beach Club
Tucked away on Palm Jumeirah's shoreline, this stylish, nautical-inspired oasis is a popular weekend spot for young families. Little ones can splash in the kids pool as you relax in an outdoor lounge area. Or enjoy a meal at the popular Italian eatery Ristorante with its relaxing Mediterranean vibe. Riva is the ideal place to take a break from the city bustle, so sit back on a sun lounger and relax amid the postcard-perfect views.
Peaches & Cream
A close neighbour to Riva Beach Club, Peaches & Cream offers a laid-back, family-friendly vibe on Palm Jumeirah. Complete with a large pool, shaded outdoor areas and comfortable sun loungers with pink-and-white striped parasols on the beach, the atmosphere is always welcoming. Inside Peaches & Cream’s restaurant is colourful retro furniture and a menu to please everyone, with pizzas, seafood and salads on offer.

Another worthy addition to Palm West Beach, February 30 Dubai is an offshoot of the Beirut original. Named for a date which doesn’t exist, the beach club is all about taking you – and the whole family – out of your day-to-day grind. Enjoy delicious food courtesy of chef Reif Othman, quirky decor and a very relaxed atmosphere, perfect for adults and small children alike.
Sofitel Dubai The Palm
Even if you’ve seen and done it all, plenty of surprises await at Sofitel Dubai The Palm. Not only does the resort have a host of indoor and outdoor activities – think watersports, yoga and aqua-based fitness classes – but children can make their own itinerary of fun each day at Amura Kids Club. An all-out treat, the club features dancing fountains, swimming pools with slides, games and activities, and even a dedicated kids cinema.

Spread out across the beachfronts of both the The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi and Le Méridien Mina Seyahi, Club Mina offers an expansive waterside area for the whole family to frolic in. Waterpark Jungle Bay is a new addition, with a Greek island vibe and plenty of thrills and gentler splash pad options that'll suit all ages. The aquatic fun doesn't stop, with Club Mina also showcasing a sandy beach, kids club and five swimming pools.
JA The Resort
Take a short drive from Dubai Marina and you'll find the award-winning facilities at JA The Resort – the city's largest experience resort. Dive into fun with playtime activities for all age groups amid a stunning beachside setting. Relax in the seven temperature-controlled swimming pools, as your little ones play at the Pirates & Mermaids kids club. There are plenty of watersports to try too, including wakeboarding, catamaran sailing and stand-up paddleboarding.

It's called the Sinbad's Kids' Club and this seaside play area certainly whisks little ones away on a magical adventure. They'll be kept entertained for hours as facilities include a specially-designed swimming area, complete with a pirate ship and sea creature-shaped water fountains, a shallow pool and playground. Venture indoors and you'll find everything from arts and crafts classes to gaming stations and soft play. The main pool area also has plenty of shaded spots, and staff come around regularly to top up cold water and serve free ice lollies.

Having a child-friendly pool, complete with a meandering waterway, a slide and shaded shallow pools is a huge draw of the beach club at The Ritz-Carlton Dubai, situated in JBR. And that is just one of the options for water-loving families who also have a soft sand beach, an indoor kids club and outdoor playground all in the same area. Always smiling service staff top up coolers with water and lay out fluffy towels on loungers, adding to the welcoming vibe at this popular five-star property.
