On 27 November 2015, the famous Red Bull Flugtag
will return to Dubai for the first time in just under a decade. A fun-filled flying festival, the Flugtag is set to come back bigger and better than ever.
While the sight of over 40 teams throwing themselves off a pier into Dubai Creek in front of a crowd of spectators should be more than enough of a reason to go along and watch, the fact that the competition will be taking place in Dubai’s picturesque
means that there are plenty of ways to make a day out of it.
Here are the best ways to make the 2015 Dubai Red Bull Flugtag a day to remember.
Dubai Creek Park Cable Car
For a completely unique aerial view of the Flugtag, take the Dubai Creek Cable Car, which runs the entire 2.3km length of the park in just under half an hour.
From a perfect vantage point suspended some 30m off the ground, not only will the view of the competition be impressive, but the sight of the Dubai skyline and even the neighbouring emirate of Sharjah in the distance is nothing short of spectacular.
AED25 adults, AED10 children. Plus AED5 per person for the Creek Park entry fee
Located within Dubai Creek Park,
is three storeys of fun and frolics that places a great emphasis on children making discoveries through interaction rather than simply observing.
The building has a whole range of attractions for the young ones, including a nature centre, planetarium and an area devoted to learning all about cultural differences.
AED10 children from age two to 15, AED15 adults from 16 onwards, AED40 family ticket (two adults, two children)
Another ideal post-Flugtag activity located within the confines of Creek Park,
offers a range of shows that both children and adults will love, from dolphins and seals to exotic birds.
As well as the shows that can be viewed from a distance, guests also have the chance to get up close and personal with the dolphins, with everything from poolside interactions to deep-water adventures – all supervised by a trained and qualified instructor, of course – available to be purchased.
From AED100 to AED120 for adults, and from AED50 to AED70 for children under 11
What could be better than watching the Red Bull Flugtag from the comfort of a private donut-shaped boat, complete with barbecue and drinks?
Setting sail from the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club – just across the river from Creek Park – the
seats up to eight guests at a time: float around the calm waters of the Creek while enjoying a sumptuous freshly grilled meal.
