Dubai Expo 2020’s masterplan revealed

The masterplan of the upcoming Expo 2020 Dubai was revealed this week at the Arab Media Forum, explaining the overall structure of the massive site.The exhibition area within the 438-hectare site in Jebel Ali will include a two square-kilometre Al Wasl meeting plaza at the centre which will branch outwards into pavilions under the three sub-themes of ‘opportunity, mobility and sustainability’. The overall project will also feature an Expo village – to provide housing to staff.The site will be linked to airports and will also include a dedicated transport network.Running for six months from October 2020 to April 2021, the mega Expo event is anticipated to welcome 25 million visitors from around 180 countries.
