08 June, 2016
The Ramada Dubai hotel in Bur Dubai, operating in Dubai for 33 years, is scheduled to be demolished in September 2016, with 31 August fixed as the last day of operations. Speaking exclusively to Hotelier Middle East, Abjar International CEO Abdellah Essonni revealed that while the decision was a difficult one, the property could not be refurbished. He said a mixed-use development will be built in its place, including a five-star hotel, residences and a mall. No decision has been made yet on the operator of the upcoming hotel.
