At Cinema Akil, the arthouse haven at the heart of Alserkal Avenue, you can catch everything from classic movies to foreign film festivals. It has one screen inside, complete with vintage film posters, cosy sofas and beanbags, but the venue also regularly hosts outdoor screenings at The Yard at Alserkal Avenue, where visitors can gather and watch films under the stars. Located high up in a rooftop garden setting at Jumeirah's Galleria Mall, this outdoor cinema from VOX has a boutique vibe. Playing a selection of new releases in surround sound, the theatre can host around 100 guests. Choose between loungers, oversized beanbags or upgrade to the VIP experience and stretch out in a private cabana. Order from a specially curated dining menu to complete your open-air movie night.
