SIKKA Art Fair

Explore Arabian artistry

SIKKA Art Fair

Explore Arabian artistry

When: 16 to 24 March 2019

Named after the atmospheric sikkas (alleyways) at Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood where it is based, SIKKA Art Fair is a make-your-own art adventure where you wander through the barjeel (wind-catcher) houses of Old Dubai, which are turned into mini art galleries and installations for the course of the festival. Each house hosts the work of emerging artistic talent from the region.

Expect the unexpected through every doorway. You might encounter live painting, giant puppets, Arabic ‘calligraphiti’, 3D portraits or groundbreaking works of audio, video and performing arts. When you need a break, grab a seat in the main square and enjoy a rich diversity of entertainment, from Afro-Tarab and classical music concerts, to spoken word poetry and thought-provoking film. An event that welcomes all, SIKKA is an integral part of Dubai’s Art Season, and best of all – free.
