Is there anything more romantic or relaxing than a luxurious spa treatment beside your beloved?

How does Dubai do beauty?
Salon culture is part of every woman’s routine in Dubai. Rather than saving more expensive treatments for a special occasion, women here seek out what’s new and innovative on the beauty market and don’t mind spending their hard-earned cash to get results. Our attitude towards beauty treatments is one of necessity rather than indulgence so we are spoilt for choice when it comes to the range and quality of places to primp up.
The beauty treatment that’s a must for visitors to Dubai?
Head to SoH Salon on Al Wasl road for the famous Mermaid Pedicure. After the standard pedicure prep, caviar-like crystal salts are used to slough away dead skin before your feet are buffed and scrubbed to a baby-soft texture and moisturised with a heavy mud mask. It’s Instagram-worthy, indulgent and unique. Only in Dubai!
What spa treatment can couples visiting Dubai enjoy together?
Talise Ottoman Spa at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray has a spa-within-a-spa section dedicated to couples only. The award-winning spa offers a wide range of services from side-by-side Thai massage to a joint hammam experiences to a romantic bath treatment offering a rose-based massage oil and rose petals strewn around the bath.
What salon treatment can couples visiting Dubai enjoy together?
For a his and hers experience I would recommend Kalm Holistic Beauty and Kalm Grooming Lounge which are situated next to each other on the Palm Jumeirah. They both offer very varied menus from massage to manicure, using products that have aromatherapy benefits or come from an organic source. Both salons use only the most up-to-date equipment and techniques. Each couple can experience the same five-star service in neighbouring rooms.
The one beauty treatment Dubai women can’t live without?
A good blow-dry. Pre-brunch or post-work, bouncy, glossy locks are a necessity in this city and many salons offer the service as their bread-and-butter treatment. If you’re looking for a beautiful location with experienced staff, book an appointment at Be Bar Blow Dry Bar on Jumeirah Beach Road. It’s an American-run salon that offers a full range of beauty treatments with an emphasis on fabulous hair.
Favourite luxury spa experience?
The treatments at the Spa at Armani hotel are as unique as its internal decor. Each individual therapy or spa day is curated around one’s needs and, being Armani, of course, only the highest quality products are used. A beauty booking at their spa also gives you access to their high-tech gym and the outdoor pool, where you’ll soak up the sun with arguably the best view of the Burj Khalifa anywhere in Dubai.
What’s your favourite Arabian spa treatment?
One of the most popular treatments with local Emirati women is the wonderfully relaxing Moroccan bath. As effective as a scrub, wrap and massage wrapped into one, Moroccan baths vary from location to location, but one of the best in Dubai is at Belle Femme’s beauty salon in Jumeirah. Said to detoxify, purify and lift the skin, this treatment improves circulation and has anti-ageing benefits. You’ll leave refreshed and revived in less than an hour.
