1

Luxe labels at Bloomingdale's

Bloomingdale's in Dubai
Loads of big name brands and on-point contemporary labels make Bloomingdale's one of the best department stores – a little taste of NYC in the region. Dubai's store is the first to be located outside of the US, and offers much more than clothes. There's a great homeware department to pick up stylish interiors, and lots of on-site food finds. The personalised shopping service is also really handy when you're in a rush, or just fancy a more luxurious experience.

Cool Peruvian at Coya

COYA Dubai
If you haven’t been to Coya at the Four Seasons Resort at Jumeirah Beach, then you haven’t lived. With a cool atmosphere coupled with food to die for, it is my default address for when guests are visiting Dubai. Or any time for that matter. It's colourful, lively and gives you the chance to try delicious Peruvian dishes... what's not to love?

O'de Rose for a boutique edit

A quirky little boutique on Al Wasl Road, O’de Rose is one of those places where you instantly feel like you’re about to find something extra special. An eclectic mix of fashion and interior pieces, as well as art, it’s a tucked away gem worth your time.

Essentials at COS

COS in Dubai
My number one high street store, COS is amazing for basics. Always contemporary, and minimalist in aesthetic; it’s very much my style. Thankfully it's not hard to find a store in Dubai – they have a branch in most of the big malls so it's really easy to pop by and pick up some nice quality basics.

Fresh catches at MAINE

MAINE in Dubai
Another slice of American style, MAINE in the Hilton DoubleTree is just like being in a brasserie in Maine itself. It's a lively yet humble spot, with a nice mix of customers. You'll find honest, unpretentious food here, and it is not just seafood – they have pizza and steak on the menu too.

Vintage chic at Garderobe

Garderobe Vintage Boutique in Dubai
One of Dubai’s only vintage boutiques, Garderobe is another gem. Especially thanks to the well-dressed women of the region who donate their barely used Chanel, Gucci and Saint Laurent handbags. It was founded by former fashion buyer Micha Maatouk, and the team behind it clearly know their stuff. The best buys get snapped up quickly so you have to be on alert, but it is all part of the fun.

Local love at Bouguessa

BySymphony in Dubai
My favourite Dubai-based label by far, Bouguessa is proof that the region has some really promising design talent. This ready-to-wear clothing line is all about minimalist elegance, and they have some really unique pieces. If you want to take a look at their stuff you can find it in Symphony store and Galeries Lafayette at The Dubai Mall.

Greek gems at Mythos

Mythos Kouzina & Grill in Dubai
I love Greek food and Mythos Kouzina & Grill is really like being in Greece itself, but instead you can find it in a little cluster of Jumeirah Lake Towers. Really good food, reasonably priced and in a great location – it is arguably one of the best restaurants in Dubai. Don't miss the souvlaki and incredible array of traditional dips.

Deals at Dubai Outlet Mall

Dubai Outlet Malls
This mall is a dream for residents and tourists looking for discounted designer clothing. You can find pieces that come from the likes of Bloomingdale’s and Harvey Nichols, and I have acquired some amazing pieces here, from Givenchy to Alexander Wang. You'll need to spend some time to browse the racks but it's always worth it.
