Spend Eid in Dubai
Eid al-Adha is one of the most important celebrations on the Islamic calendar and there is only one destination to consider celebrating in – Dubai.
Four reasons to spend Eid al-Adha in Dubai
Five big reasons to celebrate in our city
Eid al-Adha is one of the most important cultural celebrations in Dubai, and an exciting time to be in our city. Here are just five reasons to look forward to spending the Eid al-Adha holiday in Dubai:
1. Dubai is united in celebration
Our community of more than 200 cultures is a pretty spectacular characteristic of Dubai, made even more impressive by the unity shared by everyone during celebratory times such as Eid. No matter the culture or nationality, everyone is invited to learn and participate in festivities. As a visitor, being in Dubai during Eid offers a great opportunity to really see Dubai’s community spirit in action, all while being part of a rich cultural experience.
2. There’s plenty to keep the kids (and adults!) happy
Appealing to all ages, ‘Eid in Dubai - Eid al-Adha’ celebrations are perfect for family entertainment. From live stage shows to mall promotions and even a Giant Claw machine filled with prizes, there are so many ways to get involved during your break
3. The stage is set for live music
Those who love live music will really get into the swing of things during Eid, which marks the start of Dubai Music Week. A-listers locked in to perform include Ellie Goulding and 30 Seconds To Mars – both are sure to attract big crowds, so book your tickets early.
4. Get the chance to move to the groove
Prefer a little dancing with your music? Then fox-trot over to the Dubai International Dance Festival. This eighth edition will be the biggest yet, with world premiere performances from local and regional talent, plus plenty of workshops where you can learn to Zumba, salsa, tango, learn hip hop and more. There’ll even be a series of ‘Kidzomba’ classes so young visitors can also get involved.
5. There’s plenty to do around Dubai
As is always the case in our city, there is so much going on that you’ll have no trouble filling your itinerary outside of Eid festivities. Head to our malls, where you can shop, dine and be entertained by the many indoor tourist attractions, including Ski Dubai in Mall of the Emirates and Dubai Aquarium at The Dubai Mall.
There’s always a buzzing atmosphere around Dubai Creek, with abra rides, and souks waiting to be explored. Of course, there are plenty of ways to cool off during the last days of our extended summer, with Wild Wadi and Aquaventure waterparks, as well as a wide array of beautiful beaches to call your own.
