Sofitel Dubai The Obelisk

Taking pride of place in the Oud Metha area, Sofitel Dubai The Obelisk hotel combines the best of French art de vivre and Egyptian heritage – there's even a gold pyramidion capstone in the shape of an obelisk, much like the Luxor Obelisk in Paris. The hotel has 498 luxury rooms and suites, as well as 97 serviced apartments with views overlooking Old Dubai and the Creek. Rove La Mer Beach

If you find it hard to tear yourself away from Dubai's much-loved beach destination, you can now book a stay at the new Rove La Mer Beach. This colourful property takes advantage of its prime seaside location to offer rooms with a view, food and drinks on the sand and even Dubai’s first-ever beach co-working space. The Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences

Taking shape next to Atlantis, The Palm resort on Palm Jumeirah, the Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences will rise 185m above sea level once complete. Anticipated as the biggest hospitality property in Dubai when it opens, it will comprise 800 guest rooms and suites, 250 luxury residences, 90 swimming pools, 11 restaurants and a wellbeing centre. The rooms and residences will be connected via a Sky Bridge, which will house a rooftop infinity pool suspended 96m above The Palm. The signature highlight of the resort will be its multiple food and beverage outlets spearheaded by acclaimed chefs including the likes of Heston Blumenthal, Gastón Acurio, Costas Spiliadis, Ariana Bundy and Jose Andres.

The Dorchester
Set to open in Downtown Dubai, the ultra-luxury Dorchester Collection will be the most modern project from the renowned hotel chain. Its futuristic design features two interlocking (Tetris-styled) towers, a residential section with 39 apartments, and a large rooftop pool. The hotel will offer its guests an incredible lifestyle experience with unparalleled levels of service, while the residences will feature sophisticated modern interiors by Parisian design studio Gilles & Boissier – each fully managed by The Dorchester.

SLS Dubai Hotel
A number of firsts are on the cards for the Middle East's first SLS property: the SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences, which is set to open in Downtown Dubai. It will be one of the tallest hotels in the city when complete, and feature 254 hotel rooms, 371 residential units and 321 hotel apartments. One of the major attractions will be the infinity pool, located 75-storeys high and offering guests a 360-degree view of Dubai – in fact, it's expected to rank among the highest infinity pools in the world. The hotel's restaurants and lounges will also take advantage of the stunning views – a highlight is the Carna steakhouse by award-winning Italian butcher Dario Cecchoni on the 74th floor.

LEGOLAND Hotel

LEGO bricks are fun no matter how old you are, which makes Dubai's upcoming LEGOLAND Hotel the perfect location for a family getaway. Kids and adults can immerse themselves in a world of creative imagination while staying in one of the property's 250 themed rooms. In addition to all the interactive toy sets, there's also a castle play area and a disco elevator. A joint venture between DXB Entertainments and UK-based Merlin Entertainments who will manage the property's operations, the colourful cube-themed venue is part of Dubai Parks and Resorts and is the first hotel of its kind in the Middle East.

Mandarin Oriental Wasl Tower
This new Mandarin Oriental hotel will be located on floors 16 to 38 of the new 63-storey luxury wasl Tower on Sheikh Zayed Road. The five-star property will feature 257 spacious and contemporary rooms, suites and serviced apartments, providing outstanding views over Downtown Dubai and the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa. The accommodation will be designed to reflect local culture, with features inspired by Mandarin Oriental’s Asian heritage. The skyscraper's coveted location gives guests direct access to the area’s business and leisure attractions, including Dubai Opera, Burj Park and The Dubai Mall.
