Ideally located within easy travelling distance of Europe and the Far East, Dubai is fast becoming a central business hub that brings the world together. Often in business, the most crucial stage is the last one, when the deal is clinched – and there are few better ways to secure that final handshake than with a memorable meal. These three restaurants are all bound to impress even the fussiest of clients.

The best spots for business lunches

In Dubai's fast-changing, big business scene, no location in the city is more vibrant than Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). And when it comes to the best restaurants for wooing business associates or potential clients, nowhere is better equipped than the sleek sushi restaurant, Zuma.

With its clean-lined furniture, striking feature staircase made from glass and wood, and simple layout, the venue is very much in alignment with its key clientele: modern, sophisticated and chic professionals. And when it comes to the food, the experience loses none of its allure. The Ebisu Lunch (AED 130) is served from Sunday to Thursday between 12.30 to 2.30pm and showcases the restaurant’s contemporary Japanese fare – including assorted sashimi, seared ginger, garlic and soy beef and the house special of miso-marinated black cod.

The Ivy

For the very best of classic British, head straight for The Ivy. Dark wood, rich leather and crisp, white tablecloths leave business diners under no illusions as to the high-end cachet of their choice of diner.

Food-wise, classic British cookery is given a refined twist, with The Ivy’s most popular offerings including the likes of grilled corn-fed chicken breast with foie gras, and banana sticky toffee pudding to finish.Served between 12-4pm, Saturday to Wednesday, the business lunch is AED 130 for two courses or AED 150 for three courses.

The Observatory

A spectacular view is sure to set the tone for an impressive business meeting, and the one from high on the 52nd floor of the Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel – looking out over Dubai Marina and Palm Jumeirah – is hard to top.

Once diners have torn themselves away from the floor-to-ceiling windows, they can look forward to modern classics such as prawn cocktail, herb-crusted rack of lamb, and crème brûlée with a hint of espresso to leave guests office-ready after a sumptuous meal, which is available from Sunday to Thursday between 12-3pm and is priced from AED 90 for two courses.
