Dubai Fitness Challenge is back to get the whole city on its feet for 30 minutes of exercise every day for 30 days. Dedicated to making Dubai the most active city in the world, this movement ushers in a month of fitness events, free group classes and much more for the whole family. Getting fit has never been easier (or more fun) with a slew of motivating events including the
Grit + Tonic Triathlon at Mamzar Park, City Half Marathon and

October’s music line-up is packed with heavyweight appearances thanks to not one but three mega concerts. Taking place at the W Dubai The Palm, the first-ever Wake Up Call music fest will see energising pool and seaside performances by British pop princess Rita Ora and electronic duo Disclosure. For some laid-back picnic style fun head to Party in the Park starring Fatboy Slim, The Kooks, Lighthouse Family and Richard Ashcroft. Bollywood fans can also catch Alka Yagnik, Kumar Sanu and Udit Narayan perform Hindi classics live at Legends Forever on 18 October.

Theatre fans rejoice as one of the world’s most popular musicals, The Phantom of the Opera, arrives in the Middle East for the first time. Since it premiered in 1986, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s blockbuster has won over 70 major theatre awards and is the longest-running show in Broadway history. See this iconic spectacle in full form at Dubai Opera, featuring 130 cast, crew and orchestra members, jaw-dropping effects and breathtaking costumes for a night to remember.

Fashion Forward Dubai is the place to be for any and every fashion fan. This starred event sheds a spotlight on designers from across the region, showcasing works by known brand names as well as noteworthy newcomers. Get front-row seats to runway shows and presentations by top couture and ready-to-wear designers from the region, and check out all the season’s latest trends. This year’s edition includes a “shop now” feature where you can buy showcased collections and accessories onsite using digital and physical platforms.

Gamers, get ready for three days of non-stop action at the Insomnia Gaming Festival, the UK’s longest-running eSports and gaming festival. At the Dubai edition, you will find everything from classic games like The Legend of Zelda and Tekken to innovative virtual reality experiences. Attendees can shop exclusive merchandise or take part in competitive tournaments where you can win exciting cash prizes. There’s even a Cosplay competition on the calendar and a meet-and-greet with gaming influencer SeaPeeKay.

Coca-Cola Arena, Dubai’s first and largest indoor arena, is all set to host its first-ever sports event with
PBA Back in Dubai. Basketball fans are in for an action-packed weekend as The Philippines Basketball Association (PBA) prepares for two days of competitive matches and pre-show shootarounds. Catch San Miguel Beermen, featuring five-time MVP June Mar Fajardo, take on the NLEX Road Warriors on 4 October. On the second day, NLEX will roll forward in a fierce match with Barangay Ginebra and their star player Stanley Pringle
