"Old Dubai is where I feel right at home. I’ve lived in the same building since 1989 on Rigga Road in Deira, one of the ‘cool streets’ with the first shopping mall and lots of eateries back in the day. Rigga has a pulse of its own. Even all these years later, there’s nothing like grabbing a shawarma or chai late in the evening, sitting on a street bench and letting the collective energy of the people, shops, cars and lights just wash over you. "
