A day before the curtain falls on the 20th edition of Modhesh World, organisers Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) will provide fans of Arabic comedy the chance to enjoy a night of giggles and guffaws at a special show at the family entertainment hub on 23 August, featuring a line-up of stand-up up comics from the region.
The free-to-attend two-hour night of humour kicks off at 8.30pm at Modhesh World at Dubai World Trade Centre. Sending the audience into stitches will be Abdullah Al Qassab, a public speaker and stand-up comedian known for his family-friendly performances across the UAE; Mohammed Aly Momos, a funny man from Egypt of Greek origin with a penchant for poking fun at the social scene; Abdullah Ali (Abz), an Emirati comedian with an international outlook on society, who recently took part in the One Africa Global Comedy Fest; Wissam, who has appeared in the renowned Comedy Central show; and Yusuf ElKott, who started off his higher education specialising in civil engineering but then found his calling was in comedy.
The free-to-enter Modhesh World concludes on 24 August, and until then families and little ones also have the opportunity to indulge in a variety of fun and games spread across themed zones at the popular edutainment hub. Visitors are also able to make big savings with the last ‘Weekday’ and ‘Weekend’ packages or take advantage of the top up bonus available for ESAAD card holders.
