Dubai’s Summer Season Promotion powered by Dubai Shopping Malls Group (DSMG), the umbrella organization of shopping malls in Dubai is back again with a 5-month long campaign that is BIGGER and BETTER than ever! This is the 18th edition that the Group has partnered with Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) to roll out this blockbuster shopping bonanza among 25 participating malls across Dubai. GCC Residents and tourists in the UAE will be given a once-in-a lifetime opportunity to win gifts and prizes worth a whopping AED 5.5 Million in Luxury Travel Packages, Cash, Luxury Cars, Shopping Vouchers, and much more.

This year the campaign has something for every member of the family with four mega promotions. The launch of the first phase titled “Shop Your World, See The World” and “Eid in Dubai - Eid Al Fitr”, leading into the eagerly awaited “Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS)” and “Eid in Dubai - Eid Al Adha” leg, which will end the promotion on a celebratory note. Adding to the excitement, this year DSMG has included another reason for the little ones to celebrate with the “Back to School” addition to the promotion taking place simultaneously with the DSS leg.

Since its inception, Dubai Shopping Malls Group has created unforgettable memories and life-changing opportunities for thousands of shoppers and this year will be no different. The incredible success of the previous editions has enhanced the anticipation for the coming retail celebration, organized in collaboration with the community, neighborhood and mega malls of Dubai and with the continued support of DFRE. During this period, a festive mood will be in the air with its unique blend of shopping, raffles and family fun.

The   joint promotional campaigns carried out by DFRE and DSMG over the years is a reflection of the wider longstanding collaborative spirit that prevails in the emirate between the government and private sectors with the common aim of positioning Dubai as a year-round family tourism destination offering unique shopping experiences.  In fact, this year, Dubai will witness the most number of retail promotions being launched in a single summer season, giving shoppers from around the world a rewarding experience including the opportunity to win amazing prizes, while at the same time further boosting sales and footfall at the participating malls.”

Commenting on the occasion, Majid Al Ghurair, Chairman of Dubai Shopping Malls Group shared, “We are extremely delighted to launch DSMG’s biggest summer promotion till date. The Mega Campaign remains a key attraction for the summer and DSS period, and as it enters its 18th consecutive year of delighting visitors and GCC residents, the incredible prizes being offered this year have been innovatively designed to cater to every member of the family. The “Back to School” phase, “His and Her” luxury car prizes. and more are a true testament to that. Our main aim is to have another successful edition aimed at boosting Dubai’s image as a one stop shopping destination during summer. We are confident that the promotion we have planned for this year will surpass all our expectations and offer our visitors a memorable experience as they derive extra value when they shop at any of our participating malls.”

To participate in the raffle, all shoppers need to do is purchase merchandise worth over AED 200 at any of the retail stores or spend AED 100 and above at the hospitality outlets of the participating malls to receive a raffle coupon and stand the chance to win BIG. The first leg of the campaign, the “Shop Your World, See The World” from May 24th to June 19th, offers prizes in the form of all-expense paid travel packages for 100 couples to select destinations. Also up for grabs are shopping vouchers worth AED 500,000 in total to be given away to 50 winners across four weeks.  

The second leg of the campaign “Eid in Dubai - Eid Al Fitr” to be held from July 1st till the last day of Eid, will add further joy to the celebrations by giving customers the opportunity to win a total of AED 1.5 Million in prizes. Three shoppers will be gifted with mega winnings of AED 500,000/- on each of the three days of Eid.  

The next most anticipated phase will be the “Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS)” leg of the promotion that will run from July 25th to September 10th. The promotion will offer lucky shoppers who spend AED 200 or more at a participating mall the chance win Luxury “His” and “Hers” cars over a span of 6 weeks. To step up the excitement during this period, DSMG has brought in a special addition, the “Back to School” campaign for kids from September 1st to 10th, during which 10 lucky children will be awarded school tuition of up to AED 50,000 each.  

Finally, the last phase of the campaign “Eid in Dubai - Eid Al Adha” will take place from to September 17th till the last day of Eid where shoppers will be given an additional chance to win grand prizes in the form of 500 instant scratch and win vouchers worth AED 1000 each.

With the launch of this shopping extravaganza, families and children are ensured of a truly memorable five month-long extravaganza. This popular annual event will further enhance and enrich the overall shopping experience of thousands of residents and visitors in Dubai with multiple events and activities taking place that the whole family can enjoy.
