Emirates launches new Bali route
03 June, 2015
Emirates on Wednesday launched a daily non-stop service to and from the Indonesian island of Bali, increasing the number of its global destinations to 146. With the launch of the daily Bali flight, Emirates became the largest long-haul carrier in Indonesia with four daily flights – it already operates a thrice-daily service to Jakarta. Flight EK398, which departed Dubai at 8am, touched down at around 9.30pm local time at Bali’s Denpasar International Airport, with a traditional water cannon salute greeting the Boeing 777-300ER on the tarmac. The first group of passengers and an accompanying official delegation were also greeted with a colourful Balinese cultural dance at the airport.
