Aldo Zilli is an award-winning celebrity chef and restaurateur who specialises in Italian, vegetarian and seafood cuisine. Born in central Italy, he first learnt Italian home cooking from his mother. He has enjoyed being the founder and chef-patron of some of London’s innovative restaurants such as Signor Zilli, Zilli Green, Zilli Café and Zilli Bar.
In March 2012, he decided to hang up the chef's whites and embark on other ventures. Currently, the executive consultant chef to San Carlo Group, he provides advice and expertise alongside devising new seasonal menus for their numerous restaurants, particularly Cicchetti in Manchester, London’s Piccadilly and Covent Garden.
Aldo has also written ten books including two autobiographies, ‘Being Zilli ‘and ‘My Italian Country Childhood.’ A prolific food writer, his work has been featured in many publications. His exuberant personality has earned him regular spots on television and radio both as presenter and chef. Along with fellow chef, Enzo Oliveri, he embarked on a culinary journey across Sicily for the Good Food Channel and have recently completed the second series in 2016.
