The hotel was picked as it is very conveniently placed near the airport and is a stone-throw away from a shopping center and food outlet. A definite plus for those who would like to get a nibble outside of the hotel. It was the ideal location for me as I had to pick-up my fiancee late that night from the airport. From the start, the hotel was accommodating as an early check-in was provided. I was and am still grateful for that. However, things started going downhill very fast. In the RM, I noticed there was a few tissue residue between the bed and lamp side, and on the opposite end some leftover cashew seeds. Curiosity got the better of me and when I checked under the bed found kids toys and hair. Immediately called the FD and a housekeeping supervisor was sent to RM. He apologized and escorted me to another RM. I repeated that I would prefer waiting to ensure a clean RM was prepared. He assured me it was. Went into the RM with the supervisor, and the moment I checked under the bed, a woman's deodorant was found. I excused myself and asked him to find a RM that had been thoroughly checked. Went to reception and asked to speak to the Duty Manager to voice my concern/feedback and despite I never asking for any service recovery, she asked me, "What would you like for me to do?" I was very surprised. She offered a compensation that I was content with. RM was prepared in a decent amount of time however found a few faults once again. Compendium was worn and torn and had few pages missing, lamp in living RM kept short-circuiting and the switch was broken in half, Wifi was weak in bedroom, and TV in living kept turning off on its own. I was too tired to complain hence decided to provide feedback the next day. Fast forward, my fiancee touched down and we had returned to the hotel, no bellman was visible to assist us with her luggage (3 piece) and no one acknowledge us. Hence straight to the RM. Next day during the evening, before heading out for a stroll, I approached the FD to ask for turn-down service and ask the desk to rectify issues that were mentioned. The agent to whom I was speaking to initially looked like he was listening to my words, but then picked up the phone and started speaking to someone else. However, he did assure me it would all be looked into. Upon my return that evening, wifi still didn't work, lamp was not fixed, and TV still did not work. I had to call again and an engineer came up to fix the wifi and TV, however the lamp was a no go as it would take more time. At this point I was starting to run out of patience. The next day called to request a late CO at 4PM, and the receptionist told me they were fully booked hence a complimentary late CO was not possible past 2PM. An additional charge would be applicable for xxx amount. I checked on and saw availability hence ask to speak to the Duty Manager. The Duty Manager quoted a higher price for a late CO and despite my attempts to have her empathize with the inconveniences I had, she refused to provide it complimentary. Hence agreed to CO at 2PM. No bellman assistance offered. At aprox 2:10PM, called for luggage assistance. No one came. We made our way downstairs and had to repeat the request. Made us wait 5-10min as they had to check if I used the mini-bar (mind you, next time they could just ask) and still our luggage was not brought by that time. All in all, the start of my stay was very accommodating and I am grateful as mentioned for the early check-in. However, as time went by the lack of hospitality and attention to detail spoiled my overall impression. The hotels hardware is solid, however software needs improvement.
  • Best service
Good behavior of the hotel staff Clean ambience and gives complimentary breakfast which is good and hygienic Great help from the travel desk regarding site seeing tours of Dubai and free shuttle service to the beach
  • Better than expected
Stayed here for a total of 5 nights. My room was gigantic! Possibly the biggest hotel room ive had to date. There are multiple cheap eats within the area, fantastic for budget backpackers. The staff are abit off hand and rude, but you only deal with them on arrival. 7/10 from me. Ps. Decent wifi
