  • First time here ...foods was there... service wasn’t!!!
First time here at the world famous named designer and didn’t live up to its name for me. First, it was a far walk around the Burj al Khalifa front area where we saw a great water and light show from the sidewalk and from the little boat. That’s another great story but walking took a while and really no sidewalks leading to the hotel reception area. Had to walk around completely to the front. Next to the water fall and the multiple building construction area. Hard to find with no signs guiding you we finally found it and we were seated in a booth that should face the dancing water show. Hard to get into these large, very big cushioned seats. We were facing the open, clean, large kitchen, watching the chef’s prep everyone’s dinners. The elder parents of ours had a tough time walking and getting into the seats due to recent surgeries. A quick bottle of still water was ordered to quench our thirst and Two bottles of wine were ordered also, one Pinot Grigio and one chardonnay. Followed by a few appetizers to start. Two soups, a Risotto, and a tagliatelle, then for the main entree was the fried veal chop, linguine and clams, white truffle and pasta and I had the spaghetti and short rib sauce. Food was good to all, well presentation, good taste, but I always order my pasta cooked, Not Al Dente. I know it’s fresh made pasta and supposed to be eaten that way. But who’s paying the check and who’s eating it??? I informed that to the waiter when I ordered and made sure it was cooked throughly. Of course came out to me AL DENTE. Didn’t want to complain to ruin our great night. Had to eat it and tough it out. And when the waiter and waitress ask for anything else, ice, water, grated cheese, etc, what takes her and him so long to get it? We waited forever to receive it. We watched them walk back and forth without our request. Noted that the place was not busy at all. If they were the only wait staff that’s not acceptable. It was a Sunday night, not busy, and still plenty of empty tables when we left. Overall, nice decor, design, and ambiance, what do you expect from a well known designer? Food should be prepared according to the diner’s wish, not the chefs beliefs. The wait staff should be trained in a more “high end” way. No Wait staff members didn’t introduce themselves to us, the no name Sommelier didn’t even bother to say anything about the wines, or introduce himself either, or asked how was dinner? They all wanted to pour the wine until it was empty, so we can purchase another bottle. We are in the private aviation and wine business and we’ve been in wine countries all over the world. And it’s disheartening to received that kind of customer service when it comes to high end dining. Just my thoughts and observations. Enjoy!!!🍽🍽🍽🍝🍝🍝

  • Will always remember such a stylish place!
It was such a pleasure and honestly felt like a privilege to have to enjoy a very romantic and upscale dinner at the Armani restaurant. The style is extended to every corner; not just the impeccable decoration, but the way the dishes are put together and presented, the way the servers are trained, the cocktails, I will always remember this meal!

  • 1 year wedding anniversary Dinner
High quality Italian cuisine in a plush setting at the base of the Burj Khalifa with a view of the Burj fountain show. Expensive menu but given the location it is to be expected (but still overvalued in my opinion) . They were great in offering a complimentary dessert as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary.
