Fume
Discover Multicultural Cuisine At Fume
When you're next in the neighbourhoods of Pier 7 in Dubai Marina or Souk Al Bahar in Downtown Dubai, it's worth seeking out Fume restaurant. The funky industrial interiors and vintage-style decor compliment a menu of home-style food designed to reflect this city's multicultural population. The kitchen uses traditional cooking methods of hot and cold smoking, curing, and slow cooking to prepare the dishes. Menu highlights include braised beef cheek, lamb shank pie, and charcoal oven cooked steak and seafood.

  • Embarrassingly Bad
I remember Fume from past visits as a vibey restaurant with consistently great food and a bunch of mainly South Africa waiters who were dynamic and knowledgeable. The experience at Fume a few days ago was the complete opposite. Firstly, there was nobody there, which should have been my clue to leave. The menu was completely different from before and confusing as it's spread over many different bits of paper. The waiters, although sweet, really have no interest in being there and know nothing about the food or drinks. The pate I ordered was not available and I was brought a plate of livers instead. It tasted horrible and I did mention it to the waitress, to which she replied "yes madam, bad taste because it's lebanese food". What an appalling thing to say. On the positive side, the ultimate gin and tonic was very nice.

  • Don’t go here!
Definitely agree with the other reviews. Been here for lunch a couple of days ago. Staff are completely clueless to a decent service. Most of the items won the items we ordered were not available, they did not even have the beers. Even asked for the manager and she was unable to help in any way. I really don’t know why they are still open. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place.
