Indian Pavilion
Savour The Flavours At Indian Pavilion
By referring to themselves as the Indian Pavilion, the owners certainly live up to expectations with their umbrella range of pan-Indian cuisine. Located in Safa 2 in Jumeirah, alongside Spinneys Centre, Indian Pavilion plays host to a variety of foods from across India. Choices including Lamb Dhansak, with its Parsi blend of lentils and cumin, Malabar Vegetable Curry and its spices hailing from the south, and plenty more reveal the restaurant's loyalty to diversity.

  • Strange Indian food
Very strange Indian food, chicken curry was like a mild chicken soup, rice was ok, rogan josh was red and nothing like the real thing. Bombay potato was very dry and tasted old. onion bhaji was small minced patty. On the plus side the butter nan was the best I have ever had.
  • Average fare
A shopping spree led us to the Indian Pavilion. The décor and the seating is very well laid out. The hostess led us to our seats. The first impression is always the last impression as they say... the papads came out to us, soft and soggy like it was lying on a table top for ages, not a good impression at all. Our drink was the salted lassi, refreshing and a different twist with the salt and roasted cumin seeds. We ordered the seekh kebab, which was tender and some good flavours, along with the onion kulchas - the kulchas had a long way to go - no salt no flavor it was like eating something boiled stuffed in a dough. The dal was the saving grace - albeit with no salt which we then added some, and some lemon... and it changed the entire dish. The chef has a lot of work to do here; Indian menu is vast and he needs to find the right balance of spices. Service was good
  • Yummmmyyyy!!
Someone introduced me to this place saying that they have the best paneer makhni, so thought of giving it a try and I must say that person was right!!! Had even ordered bhindi masala (my 2nd favourite) and that too was outstanding. When ever im around that area, I make sure to visit this place.
