The place in nice but the bathroom was used and not cleaned. The massage the worst massage I've ever had; literally i was rubbed with oil

I came to the Lime Spa as a surprise birthday treat from my family. Well, what can I say, the whole afternoon was fabulous. The staff in the spa made me feel so special and very welcome. Marina the manager spoke to me. She is a breath of fresh air. Very caring and attentive on the day. I've been in a few spas over the years, but I have to say the facilities and cleanliness of the Lime Spa are amazing. My masseuse was very attentive to my needs. I couldn't fault her. If you are even thinking of booking, then stop thinking and just do it. You wont regret the luxury of a retreat away from the high pace in Dubai.

It was well worth the drive and wasn't difficult to find. I have been to many five star spas in Dubai. Some of the best in fact. Whilst they all have their merit - The Lime Spa at Desert Palm is one of only two that stuck in my mind and made me want to leave a review because it was such a unique experience and the staff were so lovely! I loved how discrete it all felt. There was nothing rushed about the experience. The perfect balance between being 'left alone to enjoy' and being a guided experience. Upon arriving.. the atmosphere of the hotel was as if we'd stumbled upon the private grounds of an equestrian kingdom. It was beautiful and 'down-to-earth' all at the same time. We passed some horses in the stables on the left which certainly delighted my older friend as we proceeded into the hotel. We were well received at spa reception with 3 or 4 warm smiling, friendly faces who seemed genuinely pleased to see us - which was nice. One of the ladies (I forget the name) quickly took charge and we were calmly seated, consulted, offered advice, chose our preferred fragrances, music and before we knew it we were being led to the changing rooms. What made this visit special, was the atmosphere... it was relaxed. Not a single whiff of pretentiousness. The standards are there but it doesn't try too hard. I have often felt rushed in other 5 star spas or that I'm unwelcome by residents who think they own the place. (I'm a bit of a free spirit and I appreciate being given time and space). The staff at this spa were smiley, guided us around with ease and the happiness certainly rubbed off on me. The massage was perfect. Not too firm, not too soft... just right. Technique was very symmetrical, methodological and I quickly trusted the therapist because the pressure was just right. I have paid double at Spas overlooking Dubai Fountains in the past and this massage was definitely better. The massage made me feel 'lighter' and the tension in my neck had eased which allowed me to enjoy the steam room - and the rest of my day :) The steam room and other facilities were very clean, organized and the bathrobes were luxurious. The luxury at this spa was that you felt welcome.. left to your own devices to enjoy the facilities. The relaxation area is nice.. the ceramic chairs are heated and it's not everyday you drink tea in a bathrobe overlooking a polo field. Very relaxing. The lighting was just right in the treatment rooms too, as was the temperature and the music. Couldn't ask for much more really.. Will definitely go back again alone and the poolside restaurant overlooking the polo fields looked divine too though unfortunately didn't have the time to visit. The spa and the hotel is a hidden gem in Dubai. For the money we paid... phenomenal value. Have been to Dubai many times and wish I knew about this place sooner! Thoroughly enjoyed and would be happy to be welcomed back. A sincere Thank You - made my family members visit to Dubai delightfully memorable.
