    We enjoyed a lovely meal here. Sitting outside is a nice change for Scots in January. The quality of the food was excellent, seafood in the main. The staff are very friendly.

  • “A daughters desire”
    After countless visits to Long Beach in Singapore, our daughter craved specifically pepper crab and chilli crab. Having this as a comparison, we were not sure if it would live up to our expectations. However we would not be disappointed, the spider crab was delicious and the sauce heavenly. I actually preferred the slightly sweeter pepper sauce with the pepper kick at the end. Our appetisers of salt and pepper squid and wasabi/mango king prawns also did not disappoint. The batter light and airy and the seafood still soft not chewy. Our waiter, Nilesh was competent, friendly and informative. The setting was also favourable as I like to see what I am eating, being cooked. This also gives an insight into cleanliness and efficiency which this kitchen had an abundance of. Overall all our experience was excellent and I would highly recommend anyone who has a love of this type of food or wishes to try it for the first time, to visit.

  • Surprisingly authentic Singaporean food
    Born & brought up in Singapore, I’m always fussy when I see Singaporean food on the menu, but Peppercrab didn’t disappoint. We wanted flavoursome food....but not too much, as we had only just landed and been fed all the way! Nilesh guided us to having chargrilled Groupa, which was beautiful, and I wanted Singapore noodles (which were ‘ok’) and Kway Teow (which were superb). The two noodle dishes came with extremely generous portions of seafood. All in all, we got what we came for: authentic flavours and great seafood.
