In the realm of celebrity chefs, French native Yannick Alléno is of the highest regard. After all, he's fast-building a global culinary empire, and his efforts in Paris include the restaurant at Le Meurice, for which he was awarded three Michelin stars. So his debut in Dubai — with three restaurants at the One&Only The Palm — was one of the city's most anticipated.

At STAY, Alléno integrates classic French cooking with contemporary techniques. It's fine French food, but not at all pretentious, along with a pastry counter where desserts are custom-made. Just like the visual wonders on the plate, the restaurant has style to spare, from the high timber walls and white pillars, to the vaulted ceiling dripping with black chandeliers. There are more than a few reasons to stay here.

  • very disappointing
    we went for dinner tonight and were extremely disappointed. The langustine starter was littlerally just two large prawns in a rosewater broth that tasted very bland. The seabass main was overcooked and the sashimi part of it was chewy and not pleasant at all. We decided to not even look at the dessert menu and just leave after the main course. We drove from downtown Dubai for 70 Dirham (And again 70 back) and were just really deflated by the quality of the food (staff were excellent, however)

    We dined here to celebrate our engagement during a recent trip to Dubai. The table was beautifully set outside with rose petals sprinkled everywhere, a nice romantic touch. Joe our waiter was spectacular, very friendly & knowledgable about the menu, wines & Dubai itself. We opted for a chianti wine which was really reasonable & went well with our meal. As truffle lovers we both decided on the 4 course truffle menu, the food was exceptional, the foi grais was outstanding. The only dish that we feel didn't work was the chocolate mouse, pear & truffle dessert. Other than that it was an exceptional evening, make sure to try the complimentary chocolates at the bar before you leave.

    A rare jewel, especially when the 3-star Chef Yannick is in Dubai from France, the restaurant notifies when this happens. Outstanding in every way, food, service ,setting. Go for it if you can afford it, of course
