Hotels on the Palm Jumeirah draw in the crowds not just because of the one-of-its-kind location, but also for the culinary star power. The One&Only The Palm, Dubai has been offering three-Michelin-starred French chef Yannick Alléno’s modern interpretations of the traditional cuisine in Stay restaurant since 2010. From the glamorous design to the impeccable plating, this is the place to enjoy a sophisticated dining experience.
Internationally revered yet down-to-earth Japanese food guru Nobu Matsuhisa opened Nobu Dubai at Atlantis, The Palm in 2008, sparking the trend of modern Japanese lounge concepts that are still going strong. With the restaurant approaching its 10th anniversary, the chef has perfected his artful mix of traditional-meets-modern cuisine, infusing it with Arabian influences to create a unique and memorable dining experience.
The enigmatic British chef and restaurateur Gordon Ramsay needs little introduction, with a career that boasts several Michelin stars, successful television shows and award-winning dining concepts. Ramsay’s casual dining favourite, Bread Street Kitchen, has found a memorable Dubai address at the iconic Atlantis, The Palm. The focus here is on classic British dishes made using the finest artisanal produce – and they also do a mean Friday brunch.
Among the many stars who have a Dubai connection, probably the deepest belonged to the late Gary Rhodes, OBE. Having opened his first local restaurant, Rhodes Mezzanine in Grosvenor House in 2007, he went on to have a string of successes in the city. Rhodes Mezzanine was relaunched as Rhodes W1 in 2014, and later joined by the popular gourmet steakhouse Rhodes Twenty10. A champion of British cuisine, he also opened out-of-the-box projects in Dubai such as Vox ThEatre by Gary Rhodes, a gourmet movie experience.
