Swiss Arabian

Designed to be delicately dabbed onto pulse points, rather than heavily spritzed all over, Swiss Arabian’s line of alcohol-free, concentrated parfums are true homages to oud, the rich and smoky resin distilled from the agarwood tree.

One of their bestsellers, Kashkha, is a strong blend of oud , incense and saffron, lightened with a touch of musk. Unisex and housed in an ornate golden flask, it’s a slightly showy introduction to heady, woody aromatics, Dubai-style. Find the brand in our leading malls including The Dubai Mall, Ibn Battuta Mall and Souk Al Bahar.

Popular with the Emirati fashion set and on-trend jetsetters and stocked exclusively in global beauty powerhouse, Sephora, Mohammed Ne’emah's creations modernise elements of traditional Arabic fragrance. Founded in 1997, Ne’emah was one of the first Arabian fragrance brands to infiltrate the mainstream, appealing to both local tastes and Western noses.

The brand’s clear bestseller in all markets, Laya, pretties up a smoky oud base with sweet vanilla, powdery musk and dry cedarwood for an easy-to-wear evening scent that retains the tones of its desert origins. The range is sold in opaque white or white bottles, meaning the fragrance is well-protected from both heat and light damage, and travels well.

Luxury niche fragrance house, Khaltat, was founded by Emirati Mohamed Hilal and aims to capture the sensation of irresistibility using intense aromas. Dubbed "the blends of love," his eau des parfums take a more romantic approach to Arabian perfumery.

His signature fragrance, Ask, combines prestige notes such as velvety Turkish rose and Indian sandalwood with the traditional agarwood to create a softer, sweeter aroma.
