Cycling and running track opens in Dubai ‘city’
07 December, 2015
An 8.4-kilometre cycling and running track has opened in the AED35 billion Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City, District One development. More than 50 cyclists and joggers came to test out the track, which runs around the upcoming residential area that lies 4km from Burj Khalifa. The tracks are lit by solar powered lights for minimal energy consumption and feature several rest areas. The district will eventually include parks, beaches and 7km of lagoons. Phase 1 of the project will be ready for handover mid-2016.
