Dubai named world’s best shoreline
28 October, 2016
A new mathematical equation has found that the world’s best shoreline is Dubai, beating British holiday hotspot Blackpool for the first place. The equation, formulated by psychologist Dr David Holmes, was part of a study commissioned by Royal Caribbean, a cruise line operator. It took into account clarity of the horizon, sea colour, sand quality, cleanliness, interesting features, air quality and the weather. The ‘weather’ category was where the emirate scored the maximum points, beating Blackpool, which boasts seven miles (11.2 kilometres) of golden sands and a theme park and Gulf of Mexico in third place.
