HOTELIER MIDDLE EAST
Hilton Worldwide celebrated the debut of Hilton Garden Inn in the UAE, by unveiling an edible Dubai skyline – created using breakfast waffles. The sculpture, created from 1,500 waffles and measuring three by four metres, took Dubai-based food artist Mark Ranasinghe almost 40 hours to construct and imitates eight landmarks in the city, including the Burj Khalifa. The first of three new hotels, the 183-room Hilton Garden Inn Dubai Al Muraqabat officially opened in Deira on 22 October. Hilton Garden Inn will add an additional 552 new rooms over the next two months with the opening of the 182-room Hilton Garden Inn Dubai Al Mina, located between Bur Dubai and Jumeirah; and the 370-room Hilton Garden Inn Mall of the Emirates.
