Dubai to be among top seven global maritime centres by 2020

Dubai is expected to be among the top seven maritime centres in the world by 2020, according to a survey by the Menon Business Economics Group, cited in a statement from the Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA) on Tuesday. Industry analysts and authorities said that Dubai is likely to be the seventh leading maritime capital of the world, ahead of cities like London, New York, Tokyo, Copenhagen and Rio de Janeiro, as per the statement. Industry experts ranked the emirate sixth globally in terms of leading centres for port and logistics services and specialised logistics services, according to the statement.
