Relax at one of Dubai's most spacious and quiet beaches
Sunset Beach, also known as Umm Suqeim beach, is the perfect spot to relax with the sun, sand and Burj Al Arab in the distant background. One of the quieter spots along the coast, it is a beautiful area for morning jogs and strolls and watching the sun set across the Arabian Gulf. The calm beach allows you to take a long nap or catch up on some reading – there's even a handy library station for donating or borrowing books.
Find a world of entertainment on this iconic man-made island
Dubai is globally recognised for its world firsts, and The Palm Jumeirah is an impressive example. Viewed from above, the manmade island resembles a stylised palm tree, which was built from reclaimed land mass and a series of artificial archipelagos. The Palm Jumeirah is also home to many luxurious resorts including Atlantis The Palm.
A beachside venue offering premium à la carte dining
Riva Beach Club adds a new dimension to Dubai’s beach scene by being the city’s first stand-alone beachside destination. Located on Palm Jumeirah’s shoreline, Riva Beach Club is a restaurant and beach in one. It’s a relaxed but vibrant nook, suited to any occasion. Riva is home to several outlets aside from the famous à la carte dining, such as Sophie’s organic cafe.
