Put Dubai's past, present and future into picture

Dubai Frame

The Dubai Frame is one of the city’s most famous attractions for visitors and residents alike. Much like the iconic Burj Khalifa and Burj Al Arab, the building's landmark location in Zabeel Park provides panoramic views of the city. At 150m tall and 93m wide with a bridge connecting the two towers, Dubai Frame has a unique concept to its structure. Beyond the stunning views, visitors can experience the past, present and future from the ground to the sky. For example, the story of the city’s past is told using the latest technology, combining animations and holographic effects with traditional music and aromatic scents to transport visitors back in time.

Cross Dubai Creek by abra for a unique, affordable experience

Boat Riding at Dubai Creek in Dubai
The bustling Dubai Creek has been the lifeblood of the city for generations and continues to attract visitors year-round. For just AED1 (US$0.27c), you can hop aboard one of many traditional boats, known as abras, to cross the creek that separates Bur Dubai from Deira, Dubai’s city centre. The abras, or ‘water taxis’ run every few minutes throughout the day across four stations along Dubai Creek.  Every crossing on the now-motorised boats only takes about five minutes. Simply buy a one-way ticket, or you can even hire your own abra for an hour to explore further up the waterway.

Bayt Al Wakeel Museum and Restaurant in Dubai
You'll find Bayt Al Wakeel next to the Textile Souk. Built of mud, coral and wood beams in 1935, the building houses a maritime museum and a heritage restaurant with an outdoor deck rising over the lively Dubai Creek. Its authentic atmosphere draws crowds who enjoy Levantine and Emirati classics like lamb kebabs, seafood and citrus-splashed salads, and always finds them staying for the view.
