Palm Jumeirah is world-famous and synonymous with luxury – so it can be hard to decide between its many resorts. We’ve rounded up some of the very best.

1

Atlantis, The Palm

The first resort to open on Palm Jumeirah, right at the tip of the island, Atlantis has become iconic. With more than 1,500 rooms, some of Dubai's finest restaurants, a vast aquarium and an attached waterpark – Aquaventure – along with long stretches of private beach, Atlantis is a perfect getaway and ideal for families. For a truly special visit, book one of the resort’s underwater rooms, with views directly into the The Lost Chambers Aquarium.

2

Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort

The only resort to offer over-water villas, Anantara The Palm is a decidedly luxurious resort, even given Palm Jumeirah’s very high standards. Built around a lagoon/pool, the property's signature feature is its villas, either on the lagoon with private pools and beach access, or over the water on two piers jutting into the sea. The resort also houses the tranquil Anantara Spa, with a range of pampering rituals to relax weary bodies and minds. This is the ideal place to escape from everything.

3

FIVE Palm Jumeirah Dubai

For visitors looking for a livelier scene, FIVE Palm Jumeirah is unbeatable. Its rooms are impeccable – but the resort’s highlights are its restaurants, lounges and the beach club (as well as the chandelier-topped pool). With live entertainment throughout the year and some of the most exciting parties in Dubai, along with top-notch food and beverages, there’s never a dull moment at FIVE.

4

Jumeirah Zabeel Saray

This resort embodies opulence, inspired as it was by the palaces of the Ottoman empire. Take in the views of Dubai Marina from the beachside infinity pool, enjoy butler service on the private beach or have your cares literally scrubbed away in the Turkish-style hammam spa. Jumeirah Zabeel Saray offers 10 restaurants, with a strong emphasis on food from Turkey and the Levant, but with enough variety to satisfy any tastes.

5

Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah

This resort maintains the famed Waldorf Astoria traditions of luxury and impeccable service, on the exclusive shores of Palm Jumeirah. Along with its sea-facing rooms and suites, Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah boasts a multi-award-winning spa, as well as a dedicated watersports centre and fitness suite. Dining options include stunning Neapolitan cuisine at Social and French-Vietnamese cuisine at LAO.

6

One&Only The Palm

This is one of the very few places in Dubai which operates its own private water taxi service, bringing guests across the water to and from its sister property One&Only Royal Mirage on the mainland. The resort’s buildings are inspired by traditional Andalusian architecture, and its outside area is built around an extensive main pool, with loungers and seating scattered throughout. Relax here or on the private beach, or get pampered at Guerlain Spa.
7

Raffles The Palm Dubai

Built to evoke the palaces of Europe, Raffles The Palm Dubai is sure to impress, from its dramatic lobby to the Italian detailing throughout its nearly 400 rooms, suites and villas (with 24-hour butler service). With views across both Palm Jumeirah and Dubai Marina, the resort offers a private beach plus outdoor and indoor pools, and a private 80-seat cinema. Dining options range from regal elegance at Bluthner Hall to Japanese flavours at Matagi.
8

W Dubai – The Palm

In contrast to the calm of other resorts, W Dubai – The Palm is all about contemporary style and good times. Influenced by the W brand’s music-orientated roots, the resort features stylish artwork throughout the property. With live performances from bands and DJs a regular fixture, there’s always something going on at the W. Some of the biggest names in food feature here too, namely Akira Back’s futuristic restaurant combining Japanese dishes with Korean influences.

9

Atlantis The Royal

Atlantis The Royal Dubai
Atlantis The Royal is the latest landmark to shine the spotlight on Dubai. The stunning building offers boundary-pushing architectural design paired with palatial interiors. Situated on Palm Jumeirah, the team behind the structure describe it as a “deconstruction of the traditional tower block”, with the hotel and residence sprawling laterally through intersecting blocks across 500m of prime beachfront. Atlantis The Royal is home to more celebrity chef restaurants than anywhere in the world, including Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, which offers a contemporary twist on British flavours, as well as Japanese favourite Nobu by the Beach.
10
