Surround yourself with marine life as you wander through the glass tunnels of The Lost World Aquarium. Witness sharks, stingrays, piranhas, lobsters and the tiniest of seahorses at Atlantis, The Palm – just some of the 65,000-plus creatures you’ll come face-to-fin with in this underwater world, which evokes the Lost City of Atlantis.

Previously known as The Lost Chambers Aquarium, the attraction reopened in October 2025 with a new name and plenty of exciting additions. This includes 430 new marine animals across 35 new species, including the striated frogfish, axolotl and giant Pacific octopus. The expansion also has 19 new marine habitats, each reflecting the ocean's rich diversity.

Interactive digital displays feature across the 14 chambers, as well as more than 1,900 LED panels, 55 high-powered projectors, 140 speakers and an original score to enhance the aquarium's fantastical feel.

Check out the new mermaid show, ‘Return of the Trident’, in the 10m-deep iconic Ambassador Lagoon. Performed multiple times daily, the production features five professional underwater performers and includes advanced breath-hold skills, choreographed movements, music and storytelling.

Elsewhere, watch feeding sessions and go on a behind-the-scenes tour with marine experts to see how the different species are cared for, as well as discovering the sustainability efforts of the Atlantis Atlas Project. Other experiences to try include scuba diving, snorkelling and free diving – while young ones aged eight to 14 will love the educational 'shark specialist' sessions.

All visitors can make the most of their trip with a day at the nearby Aquaventure World waterpark or a delicious meal at surrounding high-end restaurants like Nobu, the Michelin-starred Ossiano and Gordon Ramsay's Bread Street Kitchen.
