When will Dubai be open for tourists?

Tourists and visitors are welcomed back to Dubai from 7 July 2020 onwards, according to Dubai airports’ official flight schedules and subject to airports being operational at their departure destinations. Please also check your country’s travel advisory for latest guidance on outbound trips.

What are the international travel requirements for traveling to Dubai?

The following requirements are necessary when traveling to Dubai:

  • Fulfil entry visa requirements to visit the UAE.
  • Ensure you have medical travel insurance covering COVID-19 before traveling, in the event you do not have international coverage.
  • Travelers bear full responsibility and liability for their actions and decision to travel including checking the COVID-19 situation of the of the country they wish to visit, as well as self-monitoring any symptoms they may experience.
  • Tourists may either show their PCR test result (which is valid for 96 hours) upon their arrival to Dubai or carry out a test at the relevant Dubai airport
  • A declaration must be signed to bear all costs of quarantine and treatment and complete the Health Declaration Form before departure including ensuring the passenger has no COVID-19 symptoms.
  • Tourists are required to register all their details in the COVID-19 DXB app on arrival.

What procedures are applicable upon arrival at Dubai Airports?

  • In the event a tourist is not carrying a valid PCR test result, a test is carried out at the relevant Dubai airport.
  • The PCR test may be repeated for tourists who have tested negative prior to departure but display COVID-19 symptoms upon arrival.
  • All passengers have their temperature taken with thermal screening devices on arrival.
  • Tourists bear full responsibility for their actions and compliance with physical distancing, wearing of masks and self-monitoring in respect of any symptoms they experience.

What are the procedures for leaving Dubai Airports after arrival?

  • Tourists are required to download the COVID-19 DXB app
  • A 14-day quarantine is imposed for all positive COVID-19 cases. Strict compliance with the procedures set out for positive cases by the Dubai COVID-19 Command and Control Centre regulation, which include institutional quarantine (dedicated hotels), home quarantine or hospitalisation depending on the health condition, and isolation requirements.
  • Compliance with all precautionary measures applied in Dubai (wearing masks, maintaining 2m social distance and washing hands regularly).

Do I need a COVID-19 test when traveling to Dubai?

All travelers to Dubai need to show their PCR test results (valid for a maximum of 96 hours) upon their arrival in Dubai or carry out a test at the relevant Dubai Airport.

The quarantine options include institutional quarantine (dedicated hotels), home quarantine or hospitalisation depending on the health condition, and isolation requirements.

What measures does Dubai have in place to ensure a safe stay?

Can I book a holiday home? Are they open?

Yes, holiday homes are open and available for bookings. Holiday Home Operators follow strictly the Dubai Municipality health and safety guidelines such as mandatory sterilisation and sanitization to ensure the safety of guests.
