Mon, April 26, 2021

Whether you’re looking for a party or a laidback setting, Dubai has a rooftop lounge to suit your vibe.

Whether you’re looking for a party or a laidback setting, Dubai has a rooftop lounge to suit your vibe.

Mercury Lounge

Catch views of both the illuminated Burj Khalifa and iconic Downtown district in the distance from this classic lounge. Perched atop the Four Seasons five-star resort in Jumeirah, it’s a chic spot with lots of variety across its reasonably-priced menus. Signature dishes here include the wagyu beef tagliata, mixed grill seafood platter and salt-crusted seabass. It gets busier as the night wears on, which will keep social butterflies happy.

folly by Nick & Scott

Watch the abras cut through the waters of the Madinat Jumeirah’s canals from this foodie favourite’s al fresco terrace. Chef duo Nick and Scott are famed proteges of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, proving their worth with a seasonal menu that tickles tastebuds with British flavours and fresh ingredients. The great food comes with a side of better views of the serene waters and the almost-close-enough-to-touch Burj Al Arab.

La Mezcaleria

For a chilled evening of tunes and treats, head to La Mezcaleria, a social sanctuary in the heart of Business Bay. This Latin-American inspired lounge found on the 27th floor of The Oberoi hotel serves up flavourful Mexican dishes such as tacos and quesadillas amongst vibrant surroundings. The floor-to-ceiling windows and open roof means that everyone gets a bird’s eye view of the sparkling Downtown district and Burj Khalifa.

Level 43

Level 43
Opening from 2pm daily, this sleek lounge is made for the cool crowd, drawing a mix of Dubai’s beautiful people and socialites. Located 43 floors up at the Four Points by Sheraton, its prime location along the city’s main artery, Sheikh Zayed Road, presents unbeatable views. Pull up a comfy chair and enjoy the city’s bright lights and lively buzz. While more of a lounge than a fully-fledged restaurant, the modern Japanese menu offers plenty of choice with fresh seafood dominating orders.

Atelier M

Mingle with the city’s socialites at Atelier M. Perched high atop the Pier 7 dining destination, this stunning lounge has it all – a chic vibe, friendly service and incredible views of the Dubai Marina skyline. Open from 6pm nightly, this is the ideal spot to enjoy an al fresco evening. The menu delights with a penchant for Mediterranean cuisine and Asian touches, with standouts such as the homemade vegetable dumplings, creamy burrata and superb salmon carpaccio.

Al Sarab

One of Dubai’s signature experiences is watching day turn to night over the desert dunes. Just a short drive from Dubai’s vibrant city lights, Bab Al Shams’ rooftop terrace, Al Sarab, orchestrates the perfect setting to see the bright orange horizon transform to a night sky full of stars. Dimly lit lanterns and earthy clay décor offer a magical escape from it all, with sounds of Arabian live music creating a uniquely Dubai experience.

There are a number of outstanding Japanese restaurants in town, and Tomo is high up on that list. The only thing on par with the food here is the sweeping vista of Dubai’s spectacular cityscape that greets you upon entry into the lounge. Enjoy stunning views of Dubai’s iconic skyline, including the awe-inspiring Burj Khalifa, and fresh Japanese cuisine with a modern but characteristic ambience.

A slick Asian restaurant, lounge and pool deck in one, there’s a reason why CÉ LA VI keeps us coming back for more. Its name is inspired by the French phrase meaning ‘this is life’, which should give you an idea of its vibe – creative cool decor, top-notch service, delicious food and drinks and a sophisticated laidback charm that’s hard to forget. If that’s not enough, the city views from Level 54 of Downtown's Address Sky View hotel will take your breath away.

Wane by SoMiya

Pool-meets-lounge at this spectacular spot. Situated amongst the sand-castle towers of Dubai Marina and above Dubai Marina Mall, Wane by SoMiya is a sun-seeker's dream with a cool jungle theme. Pull up a lounger alongside the stunning infinity pool and while away the day as you soak up the sun and snack on treats from the venue’s gourmet menu. There's plenty of sharing plates and refreshing flavours to try at this sparkling spot, so arrive early.

101 Dining Lounge

If it’s a memorable open-air Dubai evening you’re after, 101 Dining Lounge should be on the top of your list. Located in Palm Jumeirah on a pier exclusive to One&Only The Palm hotel, this ultra-chic destination is a fashionable hotspot. Boasting an over-water lounge and outdoor dining areas, 101 is nicely secluded, yet still offers a vibrant social venue. Dine on light Mediterranean bites and refreshing drinks, while enjoying sweeping panoramic views of the city’s skyline and the Arabian Gulf. And because this indoor-outdoor spot is situated within the resort’s private marina, guests can enjoy exclusive entry by private boat.

Luna- Rooftops
With superb views and slick service, Luna at Four Seasons Hotel is a popular after-dusk spot in the city’s bustling financial district. A place to see and be seen, this chic Downtown Dubai lounge also hosts regular events with the tempo picking up later in the night. With the record-breaking Burj Khalifa in the distance, dine on delectable Pan-Asian bites from the expansive terrace. Favourites include the truffle chicken dumplings with onion ponzu, and succulent smoked beef brisket.

The Penthouse

The Penthouse Dubai
A sleek all-day playground, The Penthouse at FIVE Palm Jumeirah raises the roof with stunning skyline views, glass-lined swimming pools and an upbeat soundtrack. There’s an exceptional Asian menu too, so you can kickstart your holiday with spicy edamame, chicken gyoza, beef sliders, shrimp skewers and more. Soak in the sunshine with weekday pool deals, or simply take in a spectacular sunset with friends from the gorgeous al fresco rooftop. Sweet dreams are made of this.

ZETA Seventy Seven

Get ready to be impressed at ZETA Seventy Seven. Perched on the rooftop of the Address Beach Resort, located 310m above sea level, you’ll be treated to incredible views of the city skyline as you dine on the finest contemporary Asian dishes. The sky-high venue presents two seafood-inspired menus – one for light snacks poolside with poke bowls, sandwiches and burgers, while the a la carte menu has signature flavours such as miso lobster, iced oysters and crispy prawns.
