Whether you’re after an ocean-fresh catch or Mediterranean staples, we've rounded up top restaurant terraces for the summer, all offering stunning city views.

Atelier M

Atelier M
Combine the bright lights of Dubai Marina with magical flavours, and it’s easy to see why Atelier M is a restaurant terrace hotspot. The menu of Mediterranean dishes sings with an Asian twist and bestsellers include the creamy burrata, eleven-spiced duck, gourmet pizza, Japanese-style scallop risotto and zingy black cod. But no matter what you choose, you’re in for a treat thanks to the terrace views overlooking the skyscrapers of the surrounding neighbourhood. It’s a great date spot and also a wonderful choice for celebrations because as the night wears on, the tempo picks up. There's even a 'secret rooftop' where resident DJs keep the party going.

Fish Beach Taverna

Proving popular every season, Le Meridien Mina Seyahi's Fish Beach Taverna has cemented itself as a go-to venue for dining with a view, thanks in no small part to its outdoor shoreside setting. By day, diners can snack on flash-fried squid, slow-cooked octopus and other Aegean delicacies, while wiggling their toes in the private beach’s silky sands. At night, floating fairy-lights illuminate the vibrant white-wash and azure decor, as guests munch on Greek mezze by candlelight. Be sure to get there before nightfall, as the restaurant’s positioning gives you an unobstructed view of the Arabian Gulf's famous sunset.

Treehouse Dubai
Enjoy world-class dining at the Treehouse Dubai rooftop – now covered and air-conditioned for a lush summertime session. True to its name, the restaurant offers heightened luxury, perched atop the exquisite Taj Dubai hotel. At this urban hideaway, you'll find Renaissance-style fittings and enough leafy foliage to evoke the treehouse vibe. Treehouse offers mesmerising views of the Burj Khalifa, live entertainment, impeccable service and contemporary recipes infused with cultural flavours.

Akira Back

Akira Back
This cool restaurant from Las Vegas chef Akira Back is a hit among the city's gourmands. Plus the views across to Dubai Marina are spectacular and unobstructed from its massive terrace. If you're peckish for specials like wagyu bulgogi, tuna pizza or even a fresh range of vegan dishes, this is the ideal spot for all that, combined with sun-soaked or moonlight panoramas and a salty sea breeze. One word of advice, however – be ready for some beachside humidity; worth it for the food and cosy feels, if you ask us!

MINA Brasserie

If you're insistent on al fresco dining through the summer, mark your calendars for a meal – or many more – at MINA Brasserie. Take a seat at the air-conditioned outdoor terrace for delightful city sights while unwinding in its quaint and verdant spaces. Many staples here are a modern take on brasserie-style classics. The menu boasts a selection of refined American-style dishes, featuring delicious seafood, meat and pasta options along with a huge variety of decadent desserts.

Chef Izu Ani is a familiar name here in Dubai, and his chic restaurant at Emirates Golf Club is the ideal spot to while away an afternoon with a long lazy lunch or a memorable romantic dinner. With its beautiful outdoor terrace that's covered for the season, guests can fully take in the nearby rolling green vistas amid the city's extending urban jungle. Add to the ambience with tempting specials, from lamb chops and seafood linguine to onion tart and tangy tuna carpaccio.
