Whatever your transit time, we've got an unforgettable Dubai itinerary for you.

Whatever your transit time, we've got an unforgettable Dubai itinerary for you.

Less than four hours

With less than a few hours, you may not have a chance to leave the airport and get back in time for your connecting flight. Don't fret, because the Dubai International (DXB) airport is actually a pretty great place to spend your layover. With over 30,000sqm of retail space, those looking for some relaxing retail therapy can revel in the numerous brands housed there. From cosmetics to confectionary and electronics to books, Dubai Duty Free can't be beat. Take a dip in the on-site swimming pool, or experience the pure luxury of the premium lounges.

Between four and eight hours

If time is tight, it’s important to get your priorities right. Luckily, a visit to Downtown Dubai will ensure you tick off a few sights in one go. Take a 15-minute taxi ride to Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. It's best to plan ahead and book a time slot in advance, so you can head straight up to the observation deck on Level 124 and see one of the most breathtaking views anywhere in Dubai. While you're in the Downtown neighbourhood, check out The Dubai Mall, which has everything from an ice rink and Vegas-style fountains to a giant aquarium.

Between eight and 15 hours

After Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Mall, your next goal should be getting a taste of old Dubai in the form of traditional souks. Situated on the banks of the Creek, Dubai's souks are at the centre of the city's heritage and history of trade. If you have a bit more time to spare, pay a visit to the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood. Afterwards cross the waters of the creek onboard a traditional abra for just AED1, and head out for more souk shopping with gold, spices, textiles and souvenirs available in the winding alleyways of Deira.

Overnight stopover

Make the most of your overnight stopover by staying amid one of our freshest shopping, dining and leisure districts, City Walk. La Ville, a boutique property by Marriott International’s Autograph Collection, exudes urban luxury while offering stellar views of Burj Khalifa. La Ville offers its guests a wide range of dining options, premium facilities and easy access to shopping galore. Relax at the hotel's chic infinity pool or at LookUp Rooftop for great city views. And less than 15 minutes away from the hotel, Dubai Opera puts on elaborate productions worth checking out.

The next morning, make time to grab a hearty breakfast at The Irish Village in Garhoud, which is nearby the airport. It's one of the best places in town to feast on a full English breakfast with the works, whether you like your eggs scrambled, poached, fried or boiled. Sit outside during the cooler weather and enjoy this venue's quaint Little Ireland vibes before catching your onward flight.
