Dubai is always host to brilliant fireworks displays on New Year’s Eve and a highlight is the Burj Khalifa lighting up with a laser and fireworks spectacular year after year. Combine the show with dinner by reserving a table at nearby restaurants – a few hotspots to consider are CÉ LA VI at Address Sky View, Asado at Palace Downtown and Abd El Wahab at Souk Al Bahar. Over at Palm Jumeirah, the best views of the famed Atlantis, The Palm fireworks can also be admired from The Pointe.

Dubai’s beaches are an excellent spot to ring in the New Year. Free to access, Kite Beach is ideal for a fun-filled picnic with views of the Burj Al Arab. Get there early to catch the sunset before settling in for the night. If you prefer a little entertainment leading up to the countdown, make your way to The Beach opposite Jumeirah Beach Residences (JBR). This hip urban beach precinct features an array of restaurants with sea views, ideal for a sparkling New Year's night.

If you are looking to tick a bucket-list new year's experience off the list, then arguably the Burj Al Arab is one of the most iconic places to see in 2023. Feast on a four-course Southern European set menu from 8pm till 11:30pm at SAL, with live entertainment that will have all ages on their feet. Prices start at AED12,000 for adults and AED6,000 for children between 4 and 11 years-old.
