With glitz, glamour and a whole lot of celebrations in Dubai, there's no better place to ring in the new year.

Fireworks fun

With splendid displays of fireworks at the city's world-famous landmarks, New Year's Eve celebrations are always a grand affair in Dubai. This year, Burj Khalifa will no doubt be a showstopping centrepiece as stunning fireworks, lights and lasers flash across the Downtown sky. Social distancing protocol may limit front-row views, but you can also book prime tables at restaurants across the city to catch all the action from a near-enough distance.

Five-star festivities

NYE Atlantis The Palm
Atlantis, The Palm is pulling out all the stops for their New Year's Eve Gala Dinner which will feature a live concert by Robbie Williams, a lavish buffet spread and a multitude of live cooking stations – and that is just for starters. As the clock strikes midnight, watch the sky light up with a breathtaking display of one of the most highly anticipated fireworks shows in the world. If you want a table in the middle of the action, upgrade to the Golden Circle and you'll also get a decadent box of caviar and unlimited white truffles sprinkled on your meal. You can also choose from special dinner packages at Atlantis' leading restaurants, including Ossiano, Nobu and Bread Street Kitchen, as well as a special superhero-themed NYE party just for the little ones.
