As part of the Dubai Food Festival, which took place from 22 February to 10 March, we sought your help to shine a spotlight on the city’s Hidden Gems – the venues that are off the beaten track, offer unique dishes and an inimitable atmosphere that makes them stand out from the culinary crowd. Here’s who made the cut.

Seafood lovers are spoilt for choice at Fish Hut, from the fried butterfly prawns in garlic sauce to the fresh catch of the day which includes sherry, hammour, red snapper, tiger prawns and lobster among many others. Delicious seafood based curries (cooked South Indian style) are also on the menu with guests able to choose from the fish malabari, the prawn mango curry or the tangy and spicy ‘Payipadan’s fish curry’.
