Every winter, millions flock to the ever-popular Global Village. Launched in 1997, the open-air destination has grown in leaps and bounds over the years and now serves as a staple treat on Dubai's annual calendar.

Whether you’re coming for the fun fair, the food, the nightly cultural entertainment or the authentic shopping, Global Village has something for everyone. The attraction's 30th season takes place until 31 May 2026. It will feature 30 pavilions showcasing 90 countries, and more than 3,500 shopping outlets, more than 250 dining spots, more than 40,000 shows and more than 195 rides, games and attractions.

New experiences to enjoy include Gardens of the World, featuring beautiful floral creations from across the globe, the mysterious Dragon Kingdom and the fun-packed children's playground Little Wonderers. And don't forget to pick up a special 'passport' for AED10, which you can get stamped at the various pavilions and keep as a souvenir.

Global Village – an experience for the senses

Sample delicious honey from Yemen or shop exquisite carpets from Iran and Afghanistan, argan oil from Morocco, engraved necklaces from Spain and dry fruits from Thailand. Each pavilion, from Egypt to Italy and Vietnam to Oman, transports visitors to the country through smell, taste, sounds and colourful decorations.

Indulge in a global adventure with entertainment from around the world in nightly concerts and shows, featuring artists who create a mix of wonder, music and comedy at the World Culture Stage. Thrill-seekers can keep their energy high at Carnaval, which offers adrenaline-fuelled rides such as Beijing Bungee, Athens Slingshot and the London Loop roller coaster. Board the 60m-high Festival Wheel for amazing views of Global Village, then head to the Horror Hotel for spooks and scares, and go on a chaotic virtual reality quest in The Monster Jam Grave Digger.

Any sci-fi fans in your group will love Exo Planet City, which features an array of amazing high-tech experiences. Embark on an unforgettable cinematic journey with ThrillFX 5D, featuring everything from smoke and rain to bubbles and lightning, get lost in the perplexing Infinity Maze, be mesmerised by Gravity Vortex and steer a spacecraft in the exhilarating Galaxy Hunter.

Meanwhile, foodies can feast on international dishes galore at Global Village's many restaurants, cafes and street food kiosks. Try Balkan flavours at Bosnian House, delicious Thai seafood at Yahya, Turkish favourites at Taksim Saray, crispy fried chicken at Al Farooj and so much more. And finish your food odyssey in style at Dessert District, which features 32 kiosks serving a plethora of sweet treats.

Global Village ticket prices

The cost of a Global Village weekday ticket starts at AED25 if you purchase it online. You can also buy any day tickets on their website for AED30. Entry is always free for children under three, senior citizens and people of determination, and Tuesdays are reserved for families and ladies.

Global Village's opening hours are between 4pm to 12am every day, while closing times are extended by an hour between Thursdays and Saturdays.

How to get to Global Village

You can reach Global Village using the following public transportation options:

Dubai Metro: There is no station connected to Global Village. However, as this is a popular destination, there are direct bus lines to Global Village from a few major metro stations on the Red line in Dubai. These stations include Max, Mall of the Emirates, Centrepoint and Union (a transfer hub between Red and Green lines).

Bus: Routes with a stop here include 102, 103, 104 and 106. From a tourist spot like Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, the shortest journey to Global Village involves taking the metro from Sharaf DG on the Green line to BurJuman, transferring to the Red Line and getting off at Max, before continuing to the destination on bus #104.
