Emirates Golf Club

Time for tee

The Emirates Golf Club, home of the world-renowned Omega Dubai Desert Classic, is the king of the greens in the Middle East.

The club consists of three immaculate courses: The Majlis, The Faldo and Par 3. Both the Majlis and Faldo courses are complemented by a floodlit Par 3 course, which is said to offer the toughest of its kind in the country.

Consisting of a variety of spaces to choose from, like a grass course and rugged fairways, The Emirates Golf Club also offers a modern golf academy, driving range and pro shop.

But golf is only part of the picture here. The facility is just as appealing to non-golfers, with an extensive sports club offering a pool, gym, squash, tennis and paddle tennis courts among other activities.

Plus, there are numerous dining options including the charming Roseleaf Cafe, Jones the Grocer and more.

  • Amazing Night Golf Experience!
I had last minute VIP Clients who wanted to Golf during the night and i was lucky to have been put in touch with Riss, one of the manager who helped us for a perfect coordination and went out of his way to get us the best night golf experience even if the Golf course was already packed. I would really like to praise him for making it happened and just because of his efforts we will definitely be back very soon!

  • Better hit it straight (Majilis Course)
The Majilis is a gorgeous course with spectacular views of Dubai, and the Emirates Golf Club has a sprawling clubhouse with fantastic locker rooms. Located right off the Metro's Red Line at the Nakheel stop, I was very politely greeted upon checking in, and having never played the course before, given a leather pouch with a scorecard, divot tool, and course guide that came in very handy. The Majilis course played very well with nice fairways and greens that rolled true. You will need to hit it straight as the fairways are narrow and the doglegs don't provide a lot of room for a shot that goes long or off center. It you book as a single like I did, expect to be paired up. I was grouped with three Italians and although we didn't speak much to each other, we all enjoyed the camaraderie of golfing. Overall, this is a great course and I enjoyed playing a course that the PGA has an event on. Definitely worth your time to play.

  • Ramadan Tent for Iftar - A far cry from what was expected
A group of 4 of us visited for Iftar in May. 3 muslims and one Christian. When we entered at 6:40pm people were already eating! This was before the end of fasting was announced and before the projector screen they had up showed the canon being fired. We found this to be very disrespectful to the people that were fasting sitting at the table with dates and a glass of water ready to drink. This shouldnt happen! And it wasnt just a few people, there were at least 20 people all eating! Also, the floor was so unever and lose, anytime a waiter walked past your table you felt as if were on a boat. The food was pretty good and we enjoyed sitting outside after breaking the fast for Shisha but they need tyo ensure people coming in are NOT eating before the breaking of the fast. I know not everyone fasts, I wasnt fasting but it is Iftar and muslims shouldnt have to pay a fair amount of money to watch others eating before they can, defeats the purpose.
