  • No open doors
You can only visit (or enter) this mosque with an official guide/tour. Not allowed to peek inside. Not what we are used to with Churches all over the world, not very welcoming. We only saw the outside, which is not impressive. Just a plain mosque building with some signes that you are not allowed inside other then with a guided tour twice a day.

  • Great Cross-Cultural Experience!
We missed the cross-cultural experience in the morning at Sheikh Mohammed Center for Culture, so we took a taxi to the Jemeirah Mosque. It's one of 2 mosques in Duba that are open to non-Muslims. We were vtreated to an hour-long presentation on Islam - with a generour appreciation for Christianity and Judaism. Some folks went through the short hand, feet, and head washing preparation outside. We all took off our shoes and women donned head coverings. Inside we sat on lush carpet and took in the architecture and art in the mosque. The speaker encouraged lots of questions. Well worth the time and energy.

  • Top Experience!
Wonderful experience of the guided tour of the mosque. It costs only 25 Dirhams per person for the entrance and it includes some traditional sweets and beverages (tea and coffee). Our guide Ahmed was very friendly, gave us plenty of time to take pictures, provided lots of interesting information about the Islamic religion and answered all our questions. Absolutely recommended for visitors coming to Dubai for the first time!
