  • Nice cool place next to Downtown Dubai
Safa Park has long been one of the more popular picnic and leisure destinations in Dubai. Located right after Business Bay, this big park is a good vantage point to see the eye-catching skyscrapers including the Burj Khalifa. The park is popular with locals and expats alike and one can see multiple games of football or cricket going on, particularly in the evenings. There is also a small lake, which used to have boating earlier (now stopped). The Dubai Canal passes right next to the park and is an added attraction. Entrance fees are quite nominal, though it's not that easy to get there by public transport.

  • A visit to the Al Safa Park in Dubai is well worth the time and effort.
A visit to the Al Safa Park in Dubai is well worth the time and effort. OK, it has diminished in size ‎due to the proximity of the Dubai Cannel and there are no longer boat rides in the modest size lake, ‎but still today if is the only “oasis” within the city of Dubai.‎ There is a modest entrance fee of 3 Dhs and this appears to go towards the upkeep and ‎maintenance of the park in general. It is well worth this small amount!‎ My wife and I were there to watch our two grand sons in a soccer practice and while we were ‎enjoying the boys practice there were many other people simply enjoying the park by having a BBQ ‎in a designated area or simply walking through the green park. ‎ If you truly want to escape from the hustle-and-bustle of the sometimes frantic life style in Dubai an ‎hour walk within the Safa Park may be your best remedy!‎
