  • Shopping and Lunch
A really nice place to do a bit of shopping (do haggle) and get a bit of lunch. They have a wide variety of different restaurants and you can eat pretty much anything, prices vary so make sure you check the menu before going in. Everyone is very polite, welcoming and respectful. Wide range of different shops and prices vary again. Outside is pretty with restaurants overlooking a small river. It’s all very nice. Artificial and lacking perhaps a little bit of heart but very nice. Spend a good couple of hours here.

  • Must see destination
A big collection of retail shops , restaurants , and cafes in a very well organized and spacious souq where you can find everything you need . Aim for some souvenirs or perfumes and then hangout for dinner after a walk around

  • Felt like a themepark
Despite most of Dubai being purpose built for tourists, something made me feel uneasy about visiting here. The place felt really manufactured and not too dissimilar to a theme park, especially the gondolas on the river. When I visited it was really empty which may have contributed to the eery feeling. The one saving grace was the pizza I had at the Italian restaurant which was absolutely delicious, made in a stonebaked oven the way it should be. I would recommend the souk madinat to anyone wanting to purchase touristy gifts like keyrings and clothing.
