Citizens of can obtain a visa on arrival valid for 30 days.

Visa information

  • The visa on arrival is valid for 30 days from the date of entry.
  • There is a 10-day grace period for extension.
  • If extended, the total validity would be 60 days from the date of entry.
  • Passports should be normal and valid for more than six months.
  • This is a multi-entry visa. The visa holder can consume the 30-day validity regardless of whether they are inside or outside the UAE – days spent outside the UAE are calculated from the 40-day validity of the visa.

GCC Citizens and Residents

If you are a citizen of a GCC country, you do not need a visa or sponsor to visit the UAE.

However, anyone accompanying GCC nationals or GCC residents must obtain an online visa before arriving to UAE.
The UAE Ministry of Interior provides an online visa system for expat residents in GCC countries who wish to visit the UAE – eChannels.
The application system also features an online payment method. On approval, the eVisa will be sent to the applicant's registered email.

The eChannels system allows the following individuals to apply:
  • UAE nationals – for the individuals they sponsor
  • Expatriate residents in UAE – for a visa or entry permit, including renewals and cancellations
  • GCC nationals living in the UAE – for the individuals they sponsor
  • GCC residents – for an entry permit to the UAE
  • Visitors – for an entry permit/visit visa

Please note that obtaining an eVisa before you travel to UAE is a must. GCC residents or citizens who are sponsoring a non-resident will not receive application approval if the sponsor is not accompanying the guest upon GCC entry.

Citizens of Brazil can obtain a visa on arrival valid for 90 days.

Please note that passports should be valid for at least six months following your date of travel to Dubai. Passports must also be machine readable – handwritten passports will not be accepted.

Please note: Indian nationals with the following documentation can obtain a visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 14 days for a charge of AED120. They can also apply to extend their stay for an additional 14 days for AED250.

  • Other organisations based in the UAE may apply for a Visit Visa or Service Visa.

Transit / Stopover Visa Details

Transit visas are available for all passport holders, from 48 to 96 hours.

Visas are valid for entry to the UAE up to 30 days from the date of issue.

Passengers must have a valid onward flight booking outside of the UAE and a valid hotel booking for the duration of the stay in the country.

It's advisable to plan ahead and apply for visas in advance of booking your stopover and transit through Dubai.

This type of visa can only be provided by airlines.

Work Visa Details

Anyone is eligible to come and work in the UAE, provided they have a valid work visa.

Your employer will need to apply for your work visa; the duration and validity of this are subject to the terms of your employment contract.

You will require a passport valid for at least six months at the time of entry and recent colour photographs with a white background. Anyone already in the UAE can apply for a change of status or can exit the country and come back.

Tourist Visa Details

  • Your maximum length of stay will vary depending on citizenship – please select your country from the dropdown menu above.
  • All visas are valid for 60 days from the date of issue until entry to the UAE, except the 48-hour and 96-hour visa Transit Visa (valid for 30 days).
  • You will require a passport valid for at least six months at the time of entry. You may also require prearranged sponsorship from a hotel or tour operator.

Visit Visa Details

Anyone not eligible for visa-free entry or a visa on arrival will require an entry permit prior to arrival into the UAE and someone to sponsor it.

Visa types vary and could be valid for 30 or 60 days, depending on visa type.

Visas are valid for entry to the UAE up to 60 days from the date of issue.

You will require sponsorship from a UAE citizen or resident, company, airline or hotel. If you are accompanying GCC nationals or GCC residents you can select the GCC Residents category above.
