Surrounded by the craggy mountains of Hatta and an abundance of native flora and fauna, this unique attraction highlights the importance of bees to our environment. Launched in 2018 as the first of its kind in the region, the centre spans more than 16,000sqm and is also the UAE’s largest honey producer, with over 4,000 colonies producing more than 20 tonnes of honey every season.

After donning a bee suit and protective gear, visitors can get close to one of 300 hives filled with thousands of honeybees, or simply learn more about these fascinating creatures through guided tours and interactive workshops that explain the importance of sustainable beekeeping. The centre is also developing a training hub that will offer workshops, supplier training and certifications for future beekeepers.
