Dubai’s newest performance venue

The brand new Coca-Cola Arena is a game-changer for entertainment in the region as Dubai’s first and largest fully air-conditioned indoor performance venue. Launching in June 2019 with show-stopping performances from the likes of Maroon 5. and Russell Peters, this multi-purpose arena is entirely designed for the ultimate audience experience, accelerating Dubai’s events scene even further. Here’s what to expect.

Best in show

From its impressive structure to top-notch facilities, the Coca-Cola Arena shares a stage with reputed venues like The O2 in London, Madison Square Garden in New York City and the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles.

Owned by Meraas, and operated by AEG Ogden, Coca-Cola Arena puts Dubai on the global map for touring artists, comedy icons, theatre productions and sporting events. With a capacity for a whopping 17,000 spectators, plus the agility to transform according to the needs of each performance, this new destination allows artists to bring full-scale shows to Dubai. Add to that the state-of-the-art technology and hefty roof weight capacity to support equipment for high production value, and you have a venue unlike any other in the city.

"The versatility of Coca-Cola Arena is a real asset," according to Guy Ngata, AEG Ogden’s CEO of Coca-Cola Arena. "The ease of which we can set up the bowl for a wide range of shows means we have the capability to host everything from a sell-out international touring artist to a more intimate setting such as a gala dinner with ease."

With a well-established events and entertainment scene, featuring a packed schedule at Dubai World Trade Centre, Dubai Opera and more, this new venue is sure to cement Dubai’s position as the region’s world-class entertainment hub.

“The arena assists in creating a bridge between European and Asian tours with a venue that has been built to create an incredible live experience for fans, as well as a venue that lends itself to the biggest artists and performers to choose Dubai as a city to perform in,” says Ngata.

This indoor venue also adds new dates to Dubai’s event calendar, with the ability to host great live shows throughout the summer months, which have traditionally been quieter as temperatures rise.

Fan-first experience

While Dubai has a great many venues that put on memorable shows night after night, Coca-Cola Arena is unique in producing an auditory experience previously unheard of in the region. It was conceived by the very architects that designed The O2 and, according to Ngata, “has been built to provide the very best live experiences for all of our visitors, no matter what the show.”

Despite its immense size, every seat in the venue guarantees spectators a brilliant and immersive view. Each fan will enjoy an intimate experience, whether in the front row or on one of the higher levels. In fact, every seat in the arena has been individually tested to guarantee superior sound quality.

Save the tour dates

Coca-Cola Arena is truly a multi-purpose venue. Not only ideal for concerts with high production value, it also supports diverse indoor sporting events including basketball, football and ice hockey, monster trucks, live theatre, comedy shows, and even corporate events or galas for more intimate occasions.

The arena’s calendar is rapidly filling up with can’t-miss performances. Superstar comedian Russell Peters draws the curtains on 6 June, followed by a sold-out show by hitmakers Maroon 5. Summer wraps up with boy band Westlife celebrating 20 years of world renown at the venue.

But that’s not all.

Fans can expect a calendar of events to reflect Dubai’s spirit. Ngata adds: “With such a diverse city that we live in, the arena wants to celebrate...the many cultures and nationalities in our content – from Arabic, Western and Bollywood shows to sport, comedy and family entertainment.”
