Where to get that Ramadan look

Ramadan is a time of renewal and reflection, but it is also a time of gathering and reconnecting with loved ones. As one of the year’s most important religious seasons, Ramadan calls for numerous Iftars (sunset meals) and Suhoors (late-night or early-morning gatherings), as well as gifts for the near and dear. Fashion during Ramadan is graceful and elegant, and is a fine time to buy yourself something special or give someone a memorable present.

Dubai hosts a number of pop-up shops and trunk shows, featuring the best of Ramadan-inspired fashion, along with bespoke collections found at boutiques and stores across the city. Take a look below at some of the city’s offerings:

The Dubai Mall couture house is one of the region’s top picks for boutiques offering modest fashion. Symphony’s year-round collections, curated by Emirati entrepreneur Salama Alabbar, offer something for those special Iftar and Suhoor outings.

Symphony is located in the Fashion Avenue at The Dubai Mall.

Kaleidoscope by Mimi

Homegrown fashion brand Kaleidoscope by Mimi has launched a special collection just for Ramadan. Created in the UAE using elements ethically sourced through the travels of its founder and head designer, Mimi Shakhashir, the collection is inspired by human connections and the ‘common threads’ between different communities. The collection is available at Le BHV/Marais in Citywalk

Another Dubai fashion institution, homegrown brand S*uce (pronounced sauce) is your one stop shop for everything chic. The fashion house offers a variety of long and elegant dresses from local and international designers like Mary Katrantzou and Alexander Wang. The stores, now five across Dubai, also stock a carefully curated collection of pieces from up-and-coming designers so you can have a one-of-a-kind outfit in time for Ramadan.

S*uce boutiques are located across Dubai including The Dubai Mall and Jumeirah.

For lovers of vintage fashion, head down to Bambah in City Walk this Ramadan. Known for its eclectic collection of fashion pieces dating back to the 1930s, you can find whimsical dresses and accessories at this quaint Dubai store. Pick up a present for a loved one, or find a dress that you can wear to an Iftar gathering. Either way, Bambah never disappoints.

Bambah is located at City Walk 2.

The Danish jewellery brand has also launched a special gift collection for Ramadan. The dazzling pieces are available in Sterling silver, 14 karat gold and Pandora’s own rose pink variety.
